Paola, 35, was born and raised in Santiago Chile.
Always a sports fan she played soccer, basketball, handball, tennis and has cycled for the last 22 years!
She was the first Chilean woman to ever qualify and compete in the Olympic Games in cycling and twice! Paola is the current Pan American Champion and her 2nd time!
She spent the latter half of 2021 criterium racing with our team reaching the top of many podiums including Speedweek, the Omnium and 2 of the 4 races in Gateway Cup and top step in the Bucks County Classic. Nice way to start!
Paola also raced in the Tour de France, Tour of Italy, and Madrid Challenge of the Tour of Spain so she is seasoned! She is married and the mother of two girls, Javiera (20 months old), and Amanda (15 years old) , whom just started bike racing. She and her husband, Gonzalo Garrido also a former Olympian, own and run a family business called Gamu and are importers of Colnago , also official distributors of Trek, Boyd, Tacx, Garmin, Shimano, and Sram in Chile.
Paola finds it very important to show her daughters to be the best they can be and through sport they can find a healthy lifestyle that also unites them as a family.
