31 year old professional cyclist Tarah grew up in Ohio and found cycling after multiple running injuries in college.
She acquired a MS in statistics from Miami University and then joined the professional cycling ranks in 2017. She was a member of an American UCI team for 2 years and added numerous “best amateur” jerseys, on the US Pro Tour, to her resume. Also, for you virtual fans, Tarah races the “Zwift Premier League“ for Saris – “The Pro’s Closet”. The highest division in the eSports world.
But Tarah wanted to do more for the sport. Her desire led her and her husband, Johnathan, to Africa to coach the Rwandan Women’s and Junior National Team for a season.
Tarah has faced some difficult challenges from sustaining injuries from a motorist hitting her while training to some health issues but is back and eager to race road and a little gravel with us!
She enjoys climbing especially in the French Alpes and the Italian Dolomites. (She once rode all three sides of the Stelvio in one ride)! Her daughter, Madeleine, born at the end of 2019 already loves watching bike racing and playing mechanic!
